|
When the client has the installed system, it is ready
for use. The system requires only employee/management training and conversion
from an older manual or software business system.
|
|
The training can be partially completed prior to system
completion, through courses given by the business software manufacturer and the
netware supplier. Connectco will arrange such courses for the client. |
|
Connectco's trainer and conversion analysts each have many
years of experience with the business and network system sold by Connectco.
Further, although they are skilled in computer and network technology, their
main experience and education has been in accounting, office automation, or
manufacturing operations. Thus, they speak the trainee's language, and not
"computerese." |
|
First, one or two key employees will attend the core courses
for the business and netware systems, at the manufacturer's designated sites.
Then those key employees can oversee any necessary conversion. |
|
In most cases, where an older computerized business system
is being replaced, Connectco can automate file conversion by preparing a small
site-specific software program. Our conversion analysts have written such
programs for many clients, avoiding laborious and expensive data re-entry.
However, it is usually necessary for client employees to edit the converted
data once it is in the new files. |
|
Our trainers will come to the client's facility and utilize
one or more work stations of the new network for "hands-on" training in all
facets of the new business and office automation system. In this way, employees
are dealing with familiar accounts, customers and operations and learn much
more quickly. Employees can ask questions that pertain directly to their
business duties. |
|
With one or two key employees pre-trained in core skills,
the majority of employees will have someone to help them do their "homework" in
the intervals between professional training. |
|
Connectco always strives to keep training professional time
as short as possible, consistent with a thorough, "hands-on" ability of the
employees to work productively with the new system. |
